• Meeting with the driver and guide.

• We leave for the ancient capital of Georgia - Mtskheta. The story goes that the city was founded in the 5th century BC by indigenous tribes who emigrated from Anatolia (Turkey). Mtskheta was named after the legendary ruler Mtsehotos, the son of the first king of Kartli. "Mtskheta" also signifies the anointing with oil, that is, the mercy of God. Spiritually, Mtskheta remains the capital of Iberia to this day, and its Svetitskhoveli Cathedral is the throne of the Divine.
• Our first stop is at the Jvari temple. This is the first monument in Georgia included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
• Walk along the streets of Mtskheta - a city that is called the second Jerusalem, according to the number of shrines located here - the ancient capital of Georgia until the 5th century. Visit to the Svetitskhoveli Temple 11th century (Life-Giving Pillar) - an architectural monument protected by UNESCO; (which contains the Chiton of the Lord, the shroud of the Prophet Elijah and the life-giving cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified.)
• Then, following in the footsteps of one of the Assyrian Fathers, Saint Shio-Mgvimi, we go to the ancient monastery which is located 800 meters above sea level in a narrow limestone gorge on the northern bank of the Kura River. It was founded in the middle of the sixth century and for more than three centuries was under the patronage of the Amilakhvari clan.
• Lunch at the oldest restaurant in Mtskheta, whose history goes back more than 250 years. (PAYMENT BY MENU) Or in any other restaurant on the banks of the Kura River.
• Return to Tbilisi.
